Tattoo Removal
Here at Devaney Tattoos we also offer Tattoo Laser Removal.

Me & Leighanne Generally work together when someone comes in for removal and to get a cover up afterwards.
If you are wanting to fade a tattoo to get a cover up after it is best to have an idea of what you are looking for as this will then determine how light we will need to get it before covering. If you are wanting another artist to do the cover up this is also fine we have worked with other artists to achieve the results they want. All this will be discussed in a Consultation.
How does Laser Removal work?
During a laser tattoo removal procedure, the practitioner guides a laser over the area of the tattoo. Unlike a laser pointer that produces a continuous beam of light, tattoo removal lasers produce pulses of light energy.

Each pulse of energy penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the tattoo ink. As the tattoo ink particles absorb the energy, they heat up and then shatter into tiny fragments. Then, over the weeks following treatment, the body’s immune system flushes the tattoo ink particles away from the location, lightening the appearance of the tattoo. Each laser treatment breaks down more and more of the tattoo ink until none remains.
How do I work?
Laser is completely different to Tattooing so when it comes to pricing it all depends on the tattoo you want to remove and location of the tattoo to how much it will cost.

Consultations are £10 for Laser as we do spot tests in a couple different areas before we do a full session to make sure you react well to the laser, this will include everything you need to know about the treatment and aftercare. 1 week after the spot test you can have a full session.

6/8 weeks is required between full sessions, for the laser to do its job before you have another session.
There is no set amount of sessions with lasers as everyone will react differently, as it relies on your immune system to effectively remove the ink over time and everybody’s immune system is different.

After your last laser session, if you’re wanting a cover up it will need a minimum of 3 months before tattooing over it, to make sure the treatment is completely finished and healed.
